The difference between UV resin and UV adhesive

UV glue and UV resin are actually two different things. UV resin is an oligomer used as a solvent and coating; UV adhesive is a prepolymer of 30-50% acrylic ester, used as an adhesive.
UV resin, also known as photosensitive resin, is a low polymer that can undergo rapid physical and chemical changes in a short period of time after being exposed to light, leading to crosslinking and curing. It is a photosensitive resin with relatively low molecular weight and reactive groups that can undergo UV, such as unsaturated double bonds or epoxy groups. UV resin is the matrix resin of UV coatings, and it is compounded with photoinitiators, active diluents, and various additives to form UV coatings.
UV glue is composed of a base resin, active monomers, photoinitiators, and other main components distributed with stabilizers, crosslinking agents, coupling agents, and other auxiliary agents. Under appropriate wavelength UV light irradiation, the photoinitiator rapidly generates free agents or ions, which in turn initiate the polymerization and crosslinking of the base resin and active monomers into a network structure, thereby achieving the bonding of the adhesive material. UV adhesive, also known as shadowless adhesive or UV cured adhesive, is mainly used for glass to glass, glass to metal, plastic to metal, plastic to plastic, etc. Its main application areas include the following:
1. Fixed bonding of glass products and glass handicrafts.
2. Bonding, covering, protecting, sealing, and bonding of internal wires of electrical switches in the electronic and electrical industry
3. In medical supplies, medical equipment such as venous catheter bonding, needle to syringe bonding, butterfly device and mask, venous catheter device, water reservoir, electronic diagnostic device bonding, etc.
4. In the field of optics, it has good transparency and is commonly used for optical fiber bonding, fiber coverage protection, and repair bonding.
5. Various camera modules
6. Optical communication industry
7. Medical industry
8. New energy industry, etc
